I love these books!It's filled with danger, mythology and humor. swords that come from pens, hats that turn you invisable and a watch that turns into a shield, all from Percy's adventures in this and his other books.
The best Part though is even though he's in danger he'll crack a joke right thenl. This is just on of the 45 Percy Jackson books, too!

What happens in this book is Mark, a 13 yr. old boy who loves hiking, decides to go hiking all by himself and on the second night he sees this strange blue light, and acidently falls into it. This light brought him a long ways into the future of earth and he finds out that earth got attacked by this horrible plague. And when people started dying the terrorists came over and had fun with our nukes on U.S soil. And itmutates everybody. So Mark ends up spening 4 yrs. there. While he's there, he's a lot taller than everybody, has white skin while everybody else has dark skin, and their eyes are different. And eventually the blue light sucks him up and takes him back to his time.
